Job description: The Sleep Biology and Medicine research group, led by Professor Monica Andersen, at the Medical School of the Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP), in Brazil, offers a Postdoc position to investigate the association between obstructive sleep apnea, microbiota, and male reproductive function. The scholarship is provided by a São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) Grant, Thematic Project category, which aims the evaluation of the trilateral relationship between obstructive sleep apnea, homeostasis of the gastrointestinal microbiota, and male reproductive function. Experiments will be conducted in humans, animals, and in vitro. Candidates should hold: Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine, Biology, or Medicine; Master's Degree in Medicine, Science or Psychobiology; Ph.D. in Medicine, Science or Psychobiology; Knowledge in Physiology, Psychobiology, Human Reproduction, and/or Microbiology; Background in recruiting volunteers and conducting clinical and pre-clinical studies – knowledge in sperm analysis, functional and molecular analysis of semen, and molecular analysis of the microbiome is desirable; Relevant aspects to be considered: Leadership, creativity, problem-solving, proactivity, proven experience in writing and reviewing projects and articles, and technical competence in conducting experiments.
