Applications for World Sleep Academy are accepted year-round. If accepted, you will be invited to join the Academy at the start of the next Tier for which you applied. (Find the next start dates for each Tier on the Program Overview page.)
Each Tier has different pre-requisites; you can review the pre-requisites in more detail on our application requirements page.
We are currently accepting applications for all tiers.
Pediatric Sleep Tier: The curriculum in this advanced tier focuses on how to help children and adolescents with their sleep problems. Topics covered include developmental changes in sleep, patient physicals and histories, sleep-related breathing disorders, sleep-related movement disorders, circadian disorders, hypersomnolence, behavioral sleep interventions, and PSG analysis.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Insomnia: This course provides an overview of the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia. It covers essential tools such as clinical interviews, sleep diaries, and validated screening instruments. Participants will learn how to distinguish insomnia from other sleep disorders and medical conditions. Treatment strategies, including behavioral approaches, will be addressed as well.
Both Tiers: If you want, you are able to register for both tiers. Those that register for both tiers will have to pay for each tier.
