About the Society

The Quebec Sleep Research Network (Sleep Network; Réseau québécois de recherche sur le sommeil/Réseau sommeil) is a thematic network funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – secteur santé in April 2024. It aims to propel sleep research toward a highly innovative and intersectoral science that has a concrete impact on the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the population across the lifespan.

The Sleep Network is committed to scientific excellence and innovation. Through an inclusive, consultative, and partnership-based scientific approach co-created with stakeholders, the Network supports and develops a research community dedicated to generating sustainable knowledge for society. Sleep-related issues will evolve thanks to the actions of the Network, but also because sleep is sensitive to societal (e.g., crises, pandemics, social media) and climatic changes. A continuous consultation process allows the Network to adapt its programming to address emerging challenges. The Network aspires to contribute to a paradigm shift—both scientific and political—by promoting sleep as a strategic lever for scientific, social, and economic development.
