Together, We Advance Sleep Health Worldwide
Global collaboration is accelerating progress in sleep health, as demonstrated during the recent General Assembly of Affiliate Societies hosted by the World Sleep Society.
The quarterly session brought together 45 participants representing 38 sleep societies across 32 countries, creating a space for shared learning, collaboration, and coordinated action.
Affiliate Societies presented real-world initiatives that are making measurable impact. These efforts included workplace and hospitality programs in Europe, national public safety campaigns in Asia, and policy advocacy in the United Kingdom. Each initiative reflects regional priorities while contributing to a shared global effort to advance sleep health.
These examples reinforce the growing recognition that sleep health is essential not only for individual well-being, but also for public safety, economic productivity, and overall quality of life.
By convening global leaders and supporting knowledge exchange, World Sleep Society helps connect local initiatives to a broader international network. This approach strengthens collaboration, amplifies impact, and accelerates progress across regions.
As shared during the session, the Assembly provides an opportunity for leaders to exchange ideas and demonstrate how sleep health and sleep medicine are being advanced worldwide. This exchange of knowledge continues to strengthen partnerships and support Affiliate Societies in their advocacy efforts.
As momentum continues to build, advancing sleep health will require sustained collaboration. Supporting local initiatives, promoting awareness, and advocating for evidence-based policies are all critical steps toward meaningful change.
